Contains the following types of materials: photographs, cartoons, christmas cards. Covers the following wars: WWI, World War II (WWII). General description of the collection: The Abian A. Wallgren photograph collection includes many photographs of Wallgren himself, his wife, and other family members and of reunions of veterans in whose organizations Wallgren seemed (at least from the content of the photos) to be very active. There are numerous photos of reunions, dinners and veteran buddies, one being Robert Ripley of "Believe it or Not" fame. There is an album containing 82 christmas cards from famous cartoonists to Wallgren, many of Wallgren's cartoon christmas cards and clippings of Wallgren's cartoons from Stars and Stripes. Among the WWII photos are several portrait photos of unidentified United States (U.S.) Marine Corps officers and two of U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot ace Gregory (Pappy) Boyington.
